Project Proposals!!!!

Today we started working on the project proposals. We decided to narrow down to two concepts. We are doing a proposal on MuzyQ and the Local Band Tour. The ideas of the South African tour and the JAM IT concept are going to be included in the MuzyQ concept. The South African artist as an addition and the JAM IT concept for the marketing.

In the morning we had a meeting with Kwela, which was very useful. We discussed what was going to be in the project proposals and listened to her opium and feedback. We talked about our ideas and how we can encourage the creative progress.

We divided the tasks on who is going to be working on what concept and what part. I and David are working on the local band tour. David researched various possible venues and made a start with the actual report. I looked for possible bands we can take on tour. I listened to them and looked at their internet profiles. I have a quite good roster right now and I hope we will be able to work with a few of these bands. Yana, Vincent and Kelly worked on MuzyQ. Quynh was sick today. Yana and Kelly worked on the content which include: Workshops, showcases, live event, African bands, band fish bowl, promotional marketing, exhibition and even an speed – dating concept for bands how are seeking members and musicians who are seeking for bands. So a lot of creative ideas: ). And vincent was looking at the financial part.

For the rest we had an master class from Kick Klimbie who worked with Rookie, EMI and other various international music companies. He talked about how those companies work and he gave some tips for working out concepts.

Tomorrow we have to hand in the project proposals so we still have a lot of work to do!
